The British Super Car Manufacturer  accepted the Challenge put down by Lamborghini and certainly flew the British Flag in the Super Car Challenge at the '99 Festival.

So much in fact that the awesome supercharged Marcos Mantis owned by Brian Overy and driven by Charles Butler-Henderson, brother of Vicki from Top Gear Fame  set the fastest time of the weekend.

The Marcos Mantis, flagship of one of the last remaining British Sportscar Companies, is truly worthy of its position amongst the world's super cars. With its stylish but brutish good looks, stunning handling, reliability and phenomenal power, the Mantis is one of the most exciting cars both on and off the track.

The successful British One Make Series, the Marcos Mantis Challenge is testament to the exceptional power, torque and handling of the road version. With a top speed in excess of 160 mph and a O - 60 mph of 4.2 seconds the Supercharged Mantis offers staggering value for money, enabling the driver to escape from the tedium, sometimes associated with everyday life.

The road car also provides the comfort expected from a Marcos, hand-crafted to exacting standards. The list of options is endless, enabling the cars to be tailored to the exact customer requirements, including complete colour choice both interior and exterior, along with racing brakes upgrade and the fantastically quick Supercharger. There are a wealth of standard features included, which again proves the Mantis to be exceptional value for a car of such stature.

The Mantis is fast becoming one of the classic super cars and has the advantage of a racing pedigree, yet practicalities are considered with the ample boot and storage space in this hand built machine. This coupled with the excellent fuel consumption makes the Mantis a car for everyday use. Marcos also encourages a special relationship between the owner and the factory, which continues long after the car's completion. The Marcos Mantis is the individual's car, for the truly discerning driver.
